Rewind 92.5 FM's Rewind Movie Series is back to bring back quintessential films that defined the '80s and '90s era. This upcoming Thursday, October 17th, screams will echo at Virginia Theatre Illinois, as Friday the 13th (1980) returns to the big screen.

Rewind the time to the first ever movie in the classic American horror movie franchise, one that has sent millions of people screaming. On 17th of October, 2024, just a few days away from Halloween, Rewind 92.5 FM will screen the deadly Rated R film, Friday the 13th (1980) at the Virginia Theatre - Illinois.

Yes, that's right. Rewind Movie Series is back, with the most memorable classic movies that defined the '80s and '90s era. The horror festivities with the good folks from Rewind 92.5 FM will begin at 7PM until 9PM, so sit tight, and enjoy the horrific thrill.

The first of a whopping 12 slasher movie installments shows the story that preceded Jason Vorhees, the great golem of Paramount Studios and Warner Brothers Pictures. In an adrenaline-filled film, produced and directed by Sean S. Cunningham, you will follow the shocking fate of teenagers who were setting up Camp Crystal Lake for re-opening. It's a story of madness and revenge with a '70s holdover aesthetic that was made to "[make] you jump out of your seat" with built up tension, well-timed shocks and the final gasp-inducing reveal.
